Part Time Ultrasound Technologist Professional

Growing independent Vein Center is seeking a Part Time Ultrasound Technologist Professional to perform vascular extremity ultrasound scans. Tuesdays and Fridays are available.

Our practice is a fun, fast paced Surgical & Vein Practice that is well established in the community. We are seeking an energetic, detailed, organized and motivated professional to complement our extremity ultrasound work flow. Multitasking and Team Work is very important to our group.

The Ultrasound Technologist will be responsible for:

  • Lower extremity venous studies including vein mapping, ruling out DVT, detecting venous insufficiency, post-op ultrasounds, and pre-op ultrasounds
  • Assisting the vascular surgeons in procedures if needed
  • Boulder Vein Center is a very busy medical office seeing a variety of patients daily. With that said, the Ultrasound Technologist must be prepared to work in fast paced environments

Qualifications:

  • Registered Vascular Technologist or eligible for RVT within 6 months of hire, or Registered Vascular Sonographer or eligible for RVS within 6 months of hire
  • Part-Time with Possible Full Time Opportunity

Salary: $40.00 – $42.00 per hour

Full-time Medical Office Biller and Authorization Coordinator.

Growing Surgical Practice in Boulder is looking for a full-time Medical Office Biller and Authorization Coordinator.

This position requires at least one year of medical office billing experience.

  • Reviewing all patient bills for accuracy and completeness. Entering and/or obtaining missing information (i.e., patient insurance ID, provider signature, CPT code and Diagnosis codes) from computer.
  • Verifying patient registration information when missing or incomplete.
  • Consulting with physicians to clarify medical notes and results in the EMR system.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing software, including electronic and paper claim processing.
  • Following up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe.
  • Checking each insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with contract discount.
  • Working un-postables to ensure claims are paid and posted in a timely manner.
  • Identifying and billing secondary or tertiary insurance.
  • Reviewing accounts for insurance of patient follow-up.
  • Researching and appealing denied claims.
  • Answering all patient or insurance telephone inquiries pertaining to assigned accounts.
  • Setting up patient payment plans, work collection accounts.
  • Responsible for pre-authorizing treatment, procedures, and surgery for the practice.

Responsible for pre-authorizing treatment, procedures, and surgery for the practice. This position includes verification of insurance benefits as it applies to the pre-certification process, obtaining pre-certification and pre-authorization from payors, and counseling patients regarding their financial obligation about the treatment/procedure being scheduled when necessary.
