Dr. Richard Fox is a board-certified general surgeon with extensive experience in vascular, thoracic (chest), and general procedures.
Born and raised in Chicago, Dr. Fox moved to Bloomington, Indiana, to attend Indiana University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in biology with honors. He returned to Illinois to pursue master’s degrees in applied physiology and pathology, as well as his M.D. degree, at the Chicago Medical School in North Chicago. Dr. Fox completed his internship and residency in general surgery at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois, in 2002.
Later that year, Dr. Fox moved to Boulder to join a private practice and in October 2007, opened his own private practice. Dr. Fox is committed to providing dedicated, compassionate and up-to-date care for individuals needing surgery. Patients enjoy Dr. Fox’s relaxed bedside manner and, especially, his sense of humor. His fluency in Spanish helps patients not only understand their situation, but also feel at ease.
Dr. Fox is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Boulder County Medical Society. He currently services as Trauma Co-Director of Boulder Community Hospital.
In his spare time, he enjoys playing classical piano and spending time with his family. |
